About Me

Hi, I'm Trevor.

Nutrition and health are two concepts that have always intrigued me. As my interest in these topics grew, my true-life passion developed.  My greatest desire is to see my family, friends, and everyone around me living their best life, which I believe starts with creating a healthier, cleaner lifestyle.

My journey began when I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I received my Bachelors in Nutrition and Health Sciences. I spent most of the years post-graduation keeping up with all the latest news on nutrition and health trends, while helping family members and friends with their nutritional needs. Although it has always been my passion, it wasn’t until a few years ago when a life altering situation occurred that I decided to pursue nutrition and health as a profession.

My wife and I believed we were healthy and lived a pretty clean lifestyle. We had been married for a couple years and decided to start a family. What we did not expect was years’ worth of infertility issues. We explored many options including holistic and medial approaches, but in the end, nothing was working. Why was this happening? We ate right, exercised often. All the medical tests we took came back clear. We were not perfect by any means, but in our minds we were as close to healthy as we realistically thought we could be. But, were we really as healthy as we thought?

I am not one to sit by and do nothing, so I started to dig deeper in the nutritional aspect of the issue, because at this point, we both needed time away from the medical side of things.

I started discovering that the concepts of digestion and absorption of the foods we eat were two main ideas that were and are very rarely taught or focused on in the health community. Most talk about calories in and calories out, sugar is bad, don’t eat processed food, eat more fruits and veggies. While all those things are not bad ideologies, they do not get to the core of what makes us truly healthy: how our bodies digest and absorb the foods we eat. And here is the reality. No one is equal in what they need to consume in order for their systems to function appropriately. Think of your digestive system as your bodies central hub regulating your hormones, nutritional absorption, bowel elimination, mental health, etc. After learning more about all of this, I knew I could not keep all this to myself. Thus, the birth of my nutritional coaching business.

In the end, God has a reason for everything. Although infertility was not something I desired, God has helped take what most would perceive as a setback and turn it into an opportunity to help many.  I look forward to coming along side you in your pursuit for a healthier life, and celebrate with you as you start to feel better and enjoy your life to the fullest.
